BODEGAS SAN ALEJANDRO
Cooperative winery founded in 1962, currently made up of 350 members and 1100 hectares.
Receives its name in honor of Saint Alexander, whose remains are found in the 17th century Franciscan Convent in Mudejar style located in Miedes, the town where the winery is located. Its wines are Garnacha grape PDO Calatayud Certified and its vineyards are among the European vineyards planted at the highest altitude. The altitude of its vineyards, the rigor of the climate, the slow maturation of its grapes, and the diversity of its soils (limestone, red clay, stony) make up its terroir and determine its elaborations: low yields, high qualities, without excess alcohol and balanced acidity. You might known them for brands such us Evodia or Baltasar Gracian.
